Philip Treick - Managing Partner
Mr. Treick's career spans 30 years, the majority of which has been spent as an analyst and manager of public equity portfolios. Beyond his responsibilities at Thermopolis, Mr. Treick currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer at the University of Wyoming (UW) Foundation. He is also an Advisor to Beefchain.io, a company for which he previously served as Chief Financial Officer, and Professional Lecturer at the UW College of Business. Previously, Mr. Treick was co-Portfolio Manager of the Real Assets Equity Income Fund for Tocqueville Asset Management, Managing Partner for Aesop Capital Partners and VP/Senior Portfolio Manager at Transamerica Corp. He earned a degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.
Philip Schlump - Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Schlump has over 30 years of software design, development and management experience. He is the Owner of 2C Why Consulting and currently works as a systems architect for Newmont Boddington Gold Pty Ltd. Previously, Mr. Schlump was founder and CTO of Senware and Lead Developer for Allen Systems Group. Mr. Schlump is well versed in Linux/UNIX and Go, Solidity (Ethereum) and Node.js as well as PosgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle database design. He serves as Professor of Practice at the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Applied Science, his alma mater, from which he earned both his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science.
Ari Lustbader - Director
Mr. Lustbader spearheads the company’s European efforts from our office in Prague, Czech Republic. He also serves as a member of Disa LLC’s Board of Directors and strategic advisor to Elementyx LC. Previously, Mr. Lustbader worked for the Real Assets Equity Income Fund (RAEIF), private equity firm Friedman Fleischer & Lowe, and Morgan Stanley’s investment banking unit. Mr. Lustbader holds a J.D. from the New York University (NYU) School of Law and a B.S. from Cornell University. He speaks English and Portuguese.
Liliana Bernal - Office Manager
Ms. Bernal has over two decades of experience in audit, accounting, finance, operations and office administration. Prior to Thermopolis Partners, Ms. Bernal worked for eight years at Levi’s Strauss & Co. in San Francisco. She also has experience working in the banking, education, entertainment and hospitality industries. Ms. Bernal attended the University of South Florida - Tampa where she received a B.S. in Business Administration. She is a Colombian native and enjoys participating in triathlons, yoga and hiking.
